"Pain, Death, Afterlife, War and Beyond, you may often hear these words. Words that are often employed to add a little more colour to an otherwise shallow and colourless canvas, to garnish it a little and make it more palatable to an audience that only wishes products for consumption, an easy glimpse into a dimension they in the end wish not to see. In this context however, those words assume a more sinister meaning. They come to life, and they originate from the peculiar background revealed in some of the recent interviews. Do not expect to enter a dimension where the cold is a chill at the sight of a painted beast, think instead of the cold steel of a surgeon's tools gently caressing your skin.
At the end of the day, the only way you can really say if a record holds meaning is the connection you get out of it. The channel that unites the listener, the musician, the music, the sum of these three points opens the door for a fourth one as well, their totality, and the potential transformations in the psyche due to this. The choice of the label in this regard is very apt, as The Sinister Flame/Septenary Arts is fertile soil for esoterically charged art. But enough with words, buy the record and see it for yourself what I am trying to convey, but warning: not for the faint of heart."
